The whole landscape is dotted with numerous creatures.
They go by different names in many areas, while one farmer from the Conclave
of the Plow might know something by one name, a plains woman of the Twin
Vales may know that same thing by a different name. The same holds true
for the advanced races of the world. Players must always remember that
the races, even though they may physically be very similar, will still
have different social, racial, political, and spiritual beliefs. Information
contained herein should act as a first step to fleshing out the races.
Those in charge of the game should not stop at what is written in below,
but make sure that each and every culture has its own difference, even
if they are as minor as different coinage or different hair style, anything
is a start that can make the world come alive. With that said, below are
the known races.
To
assist players in role-playing their character's knowledge the races are
being broken up into different sections, Traveler, Resident, and Forbidden
Knowledge. The Traveler section contains information that the average
traveler would know about the race in question. The Resident knowledge
contains information about the race that someone who lives near the race
in question. The Forbidden knowledge section is for game masters only.
It contains more detailed information that nobody would know, except the
GM, and perhaps a character of that race.
